How to add 4 minutes

Every conversation has a 4 minute limit, but you can extend an additional 4 minutes if both people agree. If you haven't already, we recommend watching the Global Speak section of this "how to use the app" video:

If you want to extend the conversation, you need to request to the other person that you want to extend the conversation by

pressing the "+4 minutes" button, which is on the bottom part of the screen,

it will help if you ask them "hey, ______, I requested another 4 minutes. Please accept if you'd like to continue speaking" (c) the other person must accept your invitation. If not, the call won't extend another 8 minutes.

By pressing the "+4 minutes button" the other person will receive a blinking notification (as you see in the video). If the other person requests the "+4 minutes extension" then you must accept.

A few notes/ recommendations:

Just as you are not required to accept the "+4 minute" request, the other person is not required to accept your request
More people will accept if you ask them nicely. Again, try: "hey, ______, I requested another 4 minutes. Please accept if you'd like to continue speaking"
Don't be offended if the person doesn't accept. Sometimes people are busy doing other stuff, sometimes they want to speak with as many people as possible.

These are just some general guidelines, but if you have any other questions or confusions, we'd be happy to help. Just write us at FluencyTeam@RealLifeGlobal.com
