Currently the Global Passport really is no more than your profile, but we intend to evolve it in many ways to really honor the metaphor of "English being your Global Passport". We know that it's really desirable to extend the conversation with people we feel really connected to. While you can enjoy pre-recorded podcast lessons from our native coaches under the Podcast tab, and our coaches might jump on the app every once in a while, the purpose of the Global Speak portion of the app is to connect English speaking learners from around the world (other non-natives), which we strongly believe is an effective strategy to gain fluency. We recognize that the Global Speak Connections don't work 100% of the time. We're constantly improving our technology every day, but you should be able to connect successfully most of the time.
